Off with everything else. The Red Queen of Hearts Gown Costume is a single floor-length red gown — no separates, no assembly, one garment that carries the whole character. The Queen of Hearts is one of the few costumes that everybody recognizes instantly and nobody has to have explained at the door.
It is made from polyester, which holds the skirt's shape and keeps the red vivid rather than letting it go dull under party lighting. The skirt runs 53 to 55 inches from the waist, so it reaches the floor on most people. Sizes run S through XXL on a women's fit, and the chart below lists bust, waist and skirt length in US inches. Between two sizes, take the larger one.
It suits Halloween parties and costume contests, storybook and Wonderland themes, masquerade and carnival nights, stage and theater productions, and photo shoots. It is a natural anchor for a group costume — one queen, a card soldier or two, a mad tea party. A crown, red lip and dark heels finish it, and none of those are hard to find. Worn without the crown it passes as a plain red evening gown, which is more use than most costumes get.
