A walking playing card, which is exactly the joke. The Playing Card Soldier Costume is a tabard worn over your own clothes, printed with an oversized ace, finished with a hooded cowl and matching arm pieces. It comes in red or black, so two people can turn up as a matching pair from opposite suits.
It is cut from polyester knit, which is light, flexible and does not need ironing after a night folded in a bag. The tabard pulls straight over the head with open sides, so it fits over jeans, leggings or a long-sleeve top and works on any build. Sizes run S through 3XL and are unisex. The chart below gives chest, shoulder and length in US inches. Between two sizes, take the larger one.
It suits Halloween parties and costume contests, storybook and Wonderland themes, office and group costumes, stage productions and photo shoots. Every measurement here is taken from the tabard itself, laid flat and listed in US inches — allow a small variance either way. The chest figure is the full width of the garment, not a body measurement, and the open sides mean it fits far more loosely than the number suggests. Length is measured from the shoulder down.
