Women's Medieval Renaissance Costume Gown

Built to be seen across a room. The Medieval Renaissance Ball Gown is a floor-length dress with a high stand collar tied in an oversized bow, full puff-shouldered long sleeves, and a skirt that drops in five deep tiered ruffles. A black lace-up cinch belt comes with it and pulls the whole shape in at the waist.

It is made from polyester that holds the tiers full without needing a petticoat underneath, and the sweep of the skirt is the point — it moves and it photographs. The gown comes in red, black or white, sizes S through XXL on a women's fit. The chart below lists bust, length, sleeve and shoulder in US inches, taken straight from the garment.

It suits Halloween parties and costume contests, renaissance and medieval fairs, Victorian and gothic events, masquerade balls, stage and theater productions, and photo shoots. It does not read as a costume so much as a period gown, which is why it works outside October as well — for a themed wedding, a ball, or a shoot. Black heels or flat boots underneath, hair up, and the belt laced tight. The red is the loudest of the three and the one that carries a room; the black keeps working at gothic and Victorian events long after costume season; the white reads bridal and is the one to pick for a themed wedding or a shoot. Any of them needs no props, no wig and no explaining at the door.

Size & Fit

This gown runs small — go by the measurements, not the letter. Our XXL is cut closer to a US large, so check the chart before you pick a size. Every measurement is taken from the gown itself, laid flat and listed in US inches — allow up to 1 in either way. Dress length is measured from the shoulder to the hem and reaches the floor on most people. The cinch belt laces at the front, so there is room to adjust the waist once it is on. If you fall between two sizes, take the larger one.

US import duties are included in our prices, so there is nothing extra to pay on delivery. You'll receive a tracking link by email as soon as your order ships.

You can request a return within 30 days of delivery. Items must be unworn and unused, with tags attached and in their original packaging.

Return shipping is paid by the customer. If your item arrives faulty, damaged or incorrect, we cover the full cost of return shipping. For hygiene reasons, earrings can't be returned unless faulty, and swimwear must have its hygienic liner intact.
