Description
Storybook, straight down the middle. The Green Velvet Princess Gown Costume is a long green velvet dress with a square neckline, fitted long sleeves and a full skirt that moves when you turn. The bodice is embroidered with a pale gold vine pattern and edged in gold braid at the neck and waist. A long ginger braided wig comes with it.
It is made from polyester velvet, which is the reason it photographs the way it does — the pile catches light and reads as depth rather than flat green. The skirt is cut full from a pointed waist seam, so it holds shape without a petticoat, and the sleeves taper to a point over the hand. Sizes run S through XXL on a women's fit, and the chart below lists chest, waist, length and sleeve in US inches.
It suits Halloween parties and costume contests, medieval and renaissance fairs, fairytale and storybook themes, stage and theater productions, and photo shoots. The wig is what completes it — the braid is long enough to bring over one shoulder, which is how it is meant to sit. Brown boots or flat shoes underneath. It is also warm, which makes it one of the few costumes that survives standing outside in late October.

Every measurement here is taken from the gown itself, laid flat and listed in US inches, so compare them against a dress you already own rather than against your own body. Dress length is measured from the shoulder to the hem and runs mid-calf to ankle depending on your height. The velvet has very little stretch, so if you fall between two sizes, take the larger one.
